For a short period, cigarettes give smokers several advantages: their brain activates 7 seconds after breathing in the smoke, they get the sensation that they belong to a world club, share the same lethal humour and the feeling that they are a bit more alive than the sensible non-smokers. In order to quit smoking, the smoker must pass over the process of getting used to the loss of these things. And this also involves admitting the funny part of this fatal attraction.
50 years ago, three out of four men used to smoke. Nowadays, the proportion is one of four, pretty nearly as by the women. So either many people have died young, or many people have stopped (actually it’s a bit of both). Choose what you want to be – dead or an ex-smoker
